About Us
Simon Frodsham is a scion of the celebrated Frodsham clockmaking dynasty, the most renown of which was Simon’s great-great-great uncle, Charles Frodsham (1810-1871).
Simon started Frodsham Clocks from his Wiltshire base in 2017, after a 50-year career in journalism, music and latterly television. He stocks a wide range of mostly English antique clocks.
“A clock is the heartbeat of a house and every home should have a heart” he says by way of a mission statement.
Simon is a Liveryman and past-Steward of The Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, a Member of BADA and of The Antiquarian Horological Society and a non-executive director of his great-great-great uncle’s firm Charles Frodsham & Co. Ltd.

Antique Clocks are considered “wasting assets” under prevailing UK tax laws and are therefore free from CGT. Check with your tax advisor but clocks can be an efficient way of passing down assets without a tax grab from Whitehall.
